What our 15-year warranty covers
Our commitment to quality is reflected in our robust 15-year warranty, protecting your American Concrete Coatings floor system. We cover a range of potential issues to ensure your floor remains beautiful and functional:
- Adhesion failure / delamination: We cover instances where the coating peels or lifts from the concrete, ensuring your floor remains securely bonded.
- Hot-tire pickup: Damage caused by hot vehicle tires melting or tearing the coating is included, maintaining the integrity of your garage floor.
- Moisture-related failures: This covers damage due to hydrostatic pressure or moisture vapor transmission, provided proper preparation and moisture mitigation were initially performed.
- UV damage: We protect against discoloration, yellowing, or chalking that can result from sun exposure, preserving your floor's aesthetic appeal.
- Materials and labor: Both materials and labor are covered, meaning any necessary repairs under warranty will be completed at no cost to you.

Common warranty exclusions
While our 15-year warranty is comprehensive, there are certain situations that are commonly excluded or may void the warranty:
- Substrate movement or cracking: If the concrete itself cracks, the coating will crack along with it, and this is not covered.
- Moisture above thresholds: Warranties often void if moisture levels exceed specified thresholds after installation.
- Hard water softeners: Damage caused by hard water softeners is not covered.
- Hard pressure washing or pressure washing in general: Using pressure washing equipment can damage the coating and voids the warranty.
- Personal misuse of the floor: Damage resulting from improper use or negligence by the homeowner is not covered.
- Leaving stains on the floor for longer than 20 minutes: Prolonged exposure to substances like oil, gas, or diesel can cause damage not covered under warranty.
- New homeowner of floor: The warranty is typically non-transferable and applies only to the original homeowner.
